For those of you who don't know me... or maybe you do but not this much... here goes!
My name is Denise and I was born in the 80's. That's all I'll say. I am not old, but I am starting to feel the burn of birthdays.
I was a teacher for 6 years I loved it. Most days I was exhausted, crazed, and pulled in nine million different directions in that position, but I did love it. They're a blast. And really do say the funniest things. I have great memories of my awesome buddies. Now I am on staff at our church as the preschool director as well as executive assistant. That sounds like a handful, huh? :)
In 2002, I officially started to date the man that I had loved for several years. Justin. He just didn't know it. :o) And on a perfect day in April of 2005, he married me!
Great day.... and so were the next 8 in Hawaii. :o)

But that was just the start of it. He gave me his itch to travel and we have been loads of places. Thankfully... together. We have made our annual treks with family to the beach, Tennessee for cabin turkey holidays, and loads of Atlanta trips for shopping and Braves games. Some of the greatest over the last six years have been..... skiing in Breckenridge, San Francisco, cruising the Caribbean, London, France, Kenya, Disney, and in December 2010, we traveled to the Holy Land, Israel, together. You can't blame me... it's his fault. He LOVES to travel. And before we met, I had never been out of the southeast. Needless to say, I am extremely thrilled that he has this as a hobby.

We have a wonderful miniature Schnauzer named Lexi Grace. She is rapidly approaching 5 years old and it makes me sad. I love her more than anyTHING. Well... more than some people, too. I'm sorry, but I just do. She makes me smile. And she will always love me no matter what. What can I say... this woman's best friend is a 4-legged ball of fur. I wouldn't have it any other way. :o)

I have lived in my same city since birth, so look out when you get coffee- get your haircut- visit the grocery store- or attend a wedding. I will know you. Or someone that knows you. That's just the way it is. I enjoy most girly things- hanging out with my girlfriends, shopping, pedicures, scrapbooking, chick flicks, and being dated by my husband every Friday night. When I am alone and can do whatever I want.... it usually is reruns of Friends and something yummy in my hand. I was asked the question tonight what my favorite food was and I couldn't answer. Honestly. I love it all. :o) Yikes.....
For now there are no children, but as you have read in earlier blog posts... I CAN'T WAIT!! That adventure begins soon..... For now I am enjoying the life that we have. The crazy, busy, hectic life that comes when you are a 20 something, have no kids, LOADS of fun friends, and are on staff at a rapidly growing church in our city. I love it all. I love what the Lord has blessed and trusted us with. I love that he keeps trusting us with more.....
So that's me.... summed up I guess. :o)
