The last 17 weeks...

Well...this is what the last 17 weeks have done to me.....

Ha! Yeah...I could have taken some pics before now but there really wasn't much so show. And I wasn't lifting up my shirt to get a real close up!

Anyhow...I am happy to say that by now, the morning sickness is over, food aversions have subsided... a little (I still can't eat most chicken), and the fatigue seems to be letting up as well. Here are some more highlights from the last 17 weeks- things you wouldn't have learned from my last post:

1. On Jan 31st, we went to Image of a Miracle in Columbus to see if our little Peanut was a boy or girl. And the answer is....
T-O-T-A-L shock! :)

We celebrated over dinner and told our parents and siblings with these fun cupcakes. They had to take a bite to see!

Ahhh! They were so excited!!!

So it was time we stopped calling her Peanut, I guess! Mia Claire was on the way!

2. Mommy celebrated her new baby girl news with a little trip to a dress shop here in town! Amanda Remembered was the lucky recipient! Ha!

3. On February 11th, we started painting Mia's nursery. She has the best Daddy! :)
Before shots!

Just before the 2nd coat. The color is called "Oh so pink!"

So committed :) I love him!

4. On Feb 15th, we picked up Mia's furniture from Baby and Beyond in Columbus. They are official retailers of Baby's Dream Furniture. After some last minute mind changing, we couldn't be more happy with our choice!

Pic with safety gate down- easy access for short mamas like me :)

In LOVE with the changer/hutch!

5. On the same day (after we had left the doctor for our 16 week appt where they asked me and I said no) I FELT THE BABY MOVE! It was the fast little flutter that everyone said it would feel like, and I felt it about 4 times. I knew it was her because it was unlike any feeling I had felt so far, and I felt it 4 times...confirmed! Now if the little booger would just do it again! It's been 4 days!

So while many things are changing, we could not be more happy with where we are right now! We are online shopping like crazy, eagerly awaiting the UPS truck as a result, Justin has started talking to my belly (so cute!), and my old clothes are DEFINITELY a thing of the past!

My goal is to try to document more often as time goes by now. You know...belly pics, nursery additions,  and all the fun stuff!

(sigh) Life is good! I can't WAIT to meet her!
