"Deck the Halls with....????"

...balls, bells of holly.... I don't know! I've heard it is actually "boughs" but who in the world knows what those are???? I mean... something about not knowing the exact words makes it feel like Christmas!

Anyhow, I am THRILLED that we have finally arrived at official Christmas season celebrating. Last weekend, Justin and I got busy with our decorating. He spent time on the roof (pics to come later) and I made the magic happen inside!!! It took about 3 hours to decorate the tree and about a couple more to finish the rest of the house. I LOVE as much as I can get up. And am OCD about it being exactly how I want it... so naturally it took me longer!  Funny story actually.... the lights for the mantle garland wouldn't come on so I made a trip to WalMart on Saturday night at 10pm to get a couple more strands. Sad... I know. And creepy... the people at WalMart that late are not the pick of the litter!

So... below the pics that you see of our tree and mantle are a culmination of MANY shopping trips in multiple cities. Many of the wood painted ornaments and my tree topper ribbon and bows to match are from a lady who has a booth every year at Christmas Made in the South here in Columbus. Her business is called Pure Art based in Panama City, Florida. There are also many ornaments from Pier 1, Kirkland's,  and Traditions in Columbus, and then 2 stores in Pigeon Forge, TN called the Incredible Christmas Place and  The Apple Barn Christmas shop. The Incredible Christmas Place is actually responsible for the ball garland and the sprigs of green flowers, sugar plums, and glitter balls that are stuck in my tree topper and throughout the tree. The stocking holders are new this year from Pier 1, and the stockings are from Kirkland's. Yes, I know... this is the work of a veteran, folks. I live to visit these stores/booths Christmas displays every year.  I am a woman on a mission! So...after all the hard work, shopping, pondering, putting things back, picking them back up again, going back a few days later just for the sale, and then tediously making sure that all is in it's place..... here are the finished products. There are a ton of pictures, but I was having fun! :)

Our Christmas Tree

Ugh!!!! LOVE THEM!!!! :)

So there you have it... what I get to look at every night! I can't wait to show you all what my AWESOME husband does on the roof every year! It's spectacular! I hope that you and your families have wonderful traditions that you look forward to every year! I can't wait for my kids to see this all one day!
